Our Mission

MTSA exists to strengthen and support transition services across Michigan by fostering collaboration, sharing innovative practices, and advocating for inclusive pathways to employment, education, and independent living.

What We Do

Connect Professionals across education, vocational rehabilitation, community agencies, and business sectors
Host Annual Conferences that spark innovation, elevate voices, and build statewide momentum
Provide Resources & Training to equip teams with tools for effective, person-centered transition planning
Advocate for Systems Change that expands opportunities and removes barriers for youth with disabilities

MTSA Officers

MTSA board members are the executors who guide the MTSA toward a sustainable future. The board works to adopt sound, ethical, and legal governance and financial policies and assures resources are in place to fulfill its mission. MTSA maintains both voting and non-voting board members who volunteer from across Michigan. Included are volunteers affiliated with Michigan education, public and private agencies, self-advocates, and families. MTSA is extremely grateful for the time and effort of all volunteers who share this passion and are invested in quality transition programming, resources, and support for young adults as they enter post high school life.

MTSA Board of Directors

The following are elected board positions. Each year, a new board president and president-elect is appointed by the voting board. Upon finishing the one-year term, the president becomes the past-president and the president-elect assumes the responsibilities of the MTSA president.
